I think its hard growing up in my generation and without loving Pokemon. Me and my siblings always woke up before our parents to watch the show and then spent hours pretending we were Pokemon trainers. I still remember when we saw the first movie at the cinema, or well the gathering hall all small towns have that are to small to have real cinemas. We were so excited!
We collected and played with our cards, even if my oldest brother for some reason always won (CHEATER!) and on the school ground we played with marbles to win new cards.
When I was 13 I graduated from middle school and started a new school with only older students. Nobody played with Pokemon cards anymore, so I gave all of my cards to my younger brother who was 6 at the time and was just about to start school. He was also a Pokemon fan. Growing up with four older siblings who loved it, how could he not! Since he was my favorite, and only, little brother I helped him build his collection by buying boosters every now and then plus going all out on his birthdays. It was awesome!
When I started my toy collection I also started to casually buy a few boosters for myself from time to time. I don't have a super large collection and I don't aim to get complete sets or anything, but it is fun to buy. It's fun to see the new art and the new Pokemons and every now and then get an awesome full art card or something.

A few days ago I asked my little brother if he wanted to trade his doubles for mine. He got around 250 newer cards from me and I got around 85 older cards from him, which makes up my whole pre-2010 collection. I even got back a few Base set cards that I gave him all those years ago.
This is what my collection looks like at the moment! I got the Monopoly as a birthday present last year, I think, from my husband and I got the 20th Pikachu sets a couple of months ago from Toysrus. I got two binders, one small and one big.

The small binder hold my Unown collection...
... and fancy cards like full art and Ex.
The big one holds most of my Holo cards, both rare, uncommon and commons.
And since I was sorting my cards anyway I put all of them in a Word document and then added them to this webpage so I know what cards I have!
